A More Complete Approach to Mold
A mold detection dog can help us find what isn't visible. Our certified dogs are trained to identify mold odors, including those associated with sources concealed behind walls, beneath flooring, and inside cabinetry. But locating a potential source is only the beginning.
When one of our dogs alerts, we investigate the area and surrounding building conditions to better understand what may be causing the odor and whether additional investigation is warranted.
Depending on the property and circumstances, we evaluate moisture and water intrusion, construction and building materials, previous water damage or remediation, HVAC systems, and evidence of current or historical mold activity. Additional testing may help characterize a suspected source when appropriate.
Our comprehensive approach helps us focus the investigation where it matters most, avoid unnecessary testing or exploratory work when possible, and provide practical guidance on next steps.
