Erica, Michael, and their incredible dog Bagel were absolutely amazing. I am so grateful to The Nose Patrol for giving me something I desperately needed: answers and peace of mind. I have now experienced mold exposure twice, spanning roughly four years of my life. One of the hardest parts of living with suspected mold is the uncertainty—not knowing exactly where it is, questioning what you are seeing or experiencing, and dealing with the gaslighting and doubt that can come from other people. That is what made this experience so incredible. Bagel came in and went to work. Watching this adorable little dog use his nose to identify areas of concern was fascinating, and having those concerns confirmed gave me an enormous sense of relief. After spending so much time wondering and trying to get answers, I finally felt like I could move forward. Erica and Michael were compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely wonderful people. They fit me into their schedule when I had very little time left, and I will always be grateful for that. The Nose Patrol (TNP) was incredibly thorough. They were able to zero in on hot spots in the home that had a known (not disclosed to TNP) history of water damage, even previous remediated areas; they also found new spots that had possibly migrated from older spots. Unfortunately, previous owners did not disclose water damage at time of sale, just painted over it. :( TNP was able to advise next steps. Michael is super knowledgeable and an expert in this field of mold/mycotoxins, he interpreted and could consult on my ERMI report and explain what it all meant!! Despite the importance of still having to address and remediate our hot spots, I no longer felt overwhelmed. We REALLY really appreciate TNP’s expertise. We know our options and next steps. Michael came in did a very thorough inspection of our house. His process was even more thorough than the two mold inspectors who came to take air samples . With his dog,he was able to find new sources of mold that were not discovered by the previous inspectors. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of great information for the remediation.

This is a fantastic company! Every step of the process was easy to navigate. They were so ready to answer any questions. They had excellent suggestions. They told us how well cared for the dogs are. And it showed. Bagel (the dog) was absolutely focused on the task at hand and loved her job! Mike was so thorough during the inspection. He climbed into small spaces crawled under our house and completely took his time to uncover the source or cause of any detected mold that Bagel pointed out. We’ve now hired Mike and Bagel from The Nose Patrol twice—once for our current home and again for a property we were under contract on—and I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else at this point. Mike is incredibly thorough. He doesn’t just “inspect”—he investigates. He pointed out things no one else caught, including subtle signs like rusted nails, discoloration, peeling paint, and other indicators of water intrusion. He even flagged that there was likely linoleum flooring under carpet that could contain asbestos—something completely overlooked by others. And then there’s Bagel… absolutely incredible. Bagel alerted to hidden mold in areas we never would have thought to check. In one spot, we peeled back paint where Bagel alerted—and sure enough, there was mold. It was both impressive and a little shocking how accurate he was. What really stood out is that we had two other mold inspectors come out beforehand, and neither found anything. Mike and Bagel found multiple areas of concern. They also went above and beyond on timing. We needed a report with almost no notice (within a couple of hours), and they hustled to get it done immediately. That kind of responsiveness, combined with their level of detail, is rare. Erica is so communicative and accomodating. Responding almost instantly to any and all questions/concerns. Truly an amazing team—professional, responsive, and incredibly skilled. Bagel might just be the GOAT 🐶 Highly, highly recommend.

Erica and Mike were wonderful to work with! Erica helped with my anxiety around using the service and answered all my questions - I’d had a lot of bad experiences with so-called mold inspectors. Mike was smart and insightful and it was cool to watch Bagel do her thing! I am appreciative of the service they offer, their insight, education, and recommendations. I was shocked when Bagel alerted on my nursing pillow and baby play mat!! Luckily for us the only non-structure findings. That by itself was worth the money spent to keep my baby safe. Mike gave us lots of insight on the areas Bagel alerted and recommendations on handling, priority, and prevention of future mold - even proactively educated us on a flooring area the installers handled incorrectly that puts us at risk for more issues. 10/10 would recommend to anyone else dealing with hidden mold and health issues!

I cannot say enough good about the Nose Patrol. I had heard that if I suspect mold in my house, the reliable way to search it out is to hire a dog trained to detect the mold. Hi, Erica - I just wanted to circle back and thank you, Mike and Bagel for your part in my mold adventure… Remediation work, demo and repairs started in December. Today we tackled the last interior area – the master bedroom. And as with the rest of the house, in every room and space she indicated, Bagel was spot-on – even when it wasn’t immediately apparent just by looking. For years I have been saying there was mold, but because it wasn’t always front and center or easy to spot, nothing was ever remediated. All that has changed now. Everything from start to finish was great! Erica was very attentive and answered all questions, and followed up with great recommendations. I wish we would have found Nose Patrol to start with. The inspection was more that what we had paid before, but the first company was in an out in half an hour and noting turned up. They were there for several hours, asked lots of questions, did a visual inspection, and well as an inspection with the dogs. Would definitely use them again, and wouldn’t buy a house without having Nose Patrol inspect first. Well worth the money.

I have been dealing with some puzzling mold markers in my body for 5 years. My doctor wanted me to check my home as it seemed it could be the environment and highly recommended Nose Patrol. We are so grateful to Bagel, Mike and Erica at Nose Patrol for guiding us to an effective path for dealing with a stressful mold situation. They provided the perfect combination of professionalism and empathy for our situation. We were overwhelmed by the recommendations of a prior mold inspector who wanted us to tear apart many different locations based on temperature and moisture readings and our guts were telling us something was not right with his interpretation. The wonderful advantage of a mold dog is that she has no problem smelling through walls and let us know the majority of those locations had no issue whatsoever, saving us much money and distress. On top of that, she was able to alert us to unpacked boxes containing moldy belongings and several items of furniture, and removal of those items clearly made an immediate difference in health symptoms. Mike provided a clear and detailed summary of their findings, ready and willing to spend as much time as necessary to answer all our questions and help us set priorities for remediation. I highly recommend the Nose Patrol. Erica helped me understand things I could before our inspection to reduce our mold level for my comfort. Then on inspection day, Mike and Bagel did a thorough inspection and found several mold colonies - some we had anticipated and others that were unexpected. After the inspection we were easily able to decide which furniture and other items needed to be discarded, and which we could keep. Our previous two ‘human’ inspectors were unable to do this at an affordable price, if at all. I tell all of my friends now, if you think you have mold, bring in Bagel first!

We are so grateful for Nose Patrol! After a Dust Test reported our small samples had high levels of mold we needed to investigate further but felt is wasn't yet warranted to do a full-blown and very expensive environmental consultant inspection. Nose Patrol was the perfect solution for us. Michael is extremely knowledgable and first did a very thorough visual inspection. He found several areas of possible concern and then when Bagel did her inspection, she confirmed some of those areas and then found some new ones. It was great to have this kind of cross checking and confirm the overall picture where there was higher risk and lower risk. Michael was very thorough explaining what was found and possible solutions. We now feel we have the information we need to move forward with next steps. We can't recommend Nose Patrol more!

We are so thankful for Bagel, Mike, and Erica. I've been getting sicker for a decade but various air and human mold inspections in the past had come up with nothing. Bagel was able to immediately identify 2 areas that once we ripped it up, there was mold everywhere. Bagel even found mold behind sealed walls on studs that had been there since the house was built decades ago. No other method comes close in accuracy to a mold dog. We just wish we had done it 10 years ago! We were so impressed with the whole process - everything from Erica answering all my questions in such a caring, kind way, to Mike sitting down with us upon arrival to take a full history of the house followed by a very thorough human inspection, followed by Bagel's inspection. Mike is so knowledgeable about mold, even down to the specific different species and where they can grow. Bagel was of course amazing to watch. It was effortless for her to identify multiple areas in the house - and upon opening up the walls she was correct on every single one. Mike even came back after the remediation to have Bagel make sure the mold was gone, all on short notice which we appreciate so much. This family is top-notch in terms of experience but also just the nicest people you will ever meet. Highly recommended!
